Birthday bash!

We are celebrating Kyle's birthday today (Monday)... and began to think, since we aren't getting any younger we need to get started on the kitchen! And after a few days of demolition there is no turning back now, we are down to bare studs on the walls and the ceiling.
BEFORE... won't take much for this to improve!

No cabinets... already looking better, although for the next month we are living like college students eating out of a microwave...our entire kitchen contents is in our guest bedroom.

No walls... we are taking down half the wall in between the kitchen and dining room to make a breakfast bar with stools!

And of course... Duke and I were taking a little nap/ watching tv on our snow day today!

It is so fun watching all the puppies play together, they play for about 30 minuets total and he is so tired the whole day! Its perfect!

Puppy friends!

I am sorry all of our updates are about the dog... but hey, its a step up from house projects right?!!! Although we are thinking about getting the kitchen under way real soon... so we could have more project updates too!
Duke is growing at an incredible rate... we feel like we can sit here and watch him grow. He has been loving the snow (not to keen on the shovels though), going to puppy school, and meeting new friends! Here are some of the latest pictures!

SNOW DAY!!

He loves the snow! We got about 10-12 inches since last night. I am enjoying my first snow day. How nice to have an extra day off... we even found out last night, so I could sleep in a little. (little being the key word... Duke doesn't like to sleep in)

We gave Duke his first bath on Sunday, he wasn't quite sure what to think of the water, but it went ok! At least he smells better now!

First week back

We had such a great Christmas break visiting Michigan. It was nice to see family and friends and have time to relax too. The whole family was finally together since the wedding two summers ago. Its always great to get back to a routine, but it was really hard to leave home!
We got to pick up our puppy Duke a couple days before we left so he got to meet the family too. We brought him over to Dave and Michelle's house and he loved playing with their dog Baily, and the boys loved meeting a little puppy! We are now adjusting to getting back to work and also having a little puppy in our lives. We can't complain so far, but having a puppy is a lot more like having a baby than I thought it would be!

Home sweet home

Meeting the family... and adjusting to life in MA at home.
He is doing quite well, only two accidents in the house since we have been home! He is sleeping through the night, with one potty break, but not crying too much.
