what month is it?

after a fall tornado, an early October snow storm, a couple inches of snow all winter, one snow day and mild temperatures all winter... we have officially gotten summer weather this week! If I had to guess what month it was by the weather outside today... it would have been late May! Warm, but not humid... it was perfect!

It is spring break for WCS- so I have been taking it easy at home... getting a little work done for school, keeping up with the house, crafting, and spending time in the sun! It was 75 degrees today. Duke and I are loving spending time outside... who needs to go to Florida when you get summer weather at home? Topped off the day with a McDonald's ice cream cone... perfection.

cottage street progress

Finished decking on the front... first floor railings went up this morning. Bedroom numero uno.

Kitchen (new appliances to come... they will go along the left wall) and the living room... oh, hello Duke!


Bedroom number two... or office/ walk-in closet :) and the world's smallest bathroom!!! You can see that the tub takes up half of the space. It will be very nicely finished though... always rather a spick and span clean bathroom even if its small over a nasty big bath!

Well, it has been almost a month since the last update... here is what we've been up to!
PAINTING, Painting, and MORE painting!!! The other duplex on cottage street is coming along, slowly but surely! Don't have new pictures yet, but here are a couple of Duke...

Duke, enjoying the sunshine on a beautiful day! (and yes, I am aware that he is in desperate need of a hair cut... he is having trouble seeing these days! will be taken care of on wed :)

Duke's new 'designer dog bed' that I made from clearance fabric and an $8.00 quilt from the thrift store ( I washed it before he used it... don't worry!). I might say it turned out pretty cute, and was much cheaper than buying a HUGE bed from the pet store! He does like it even though he doesn't look very enthused in the picture :)
