5 months

Right when we got back from MI Landon turned 5 months old.  He is getting SO big SO fast- we just can't believe it!  These days Landon is really into putting everything in his mouth.  It is so fun to see him gaining eye hand coordination and being able to intentionally move his hands and arms where he wants them. He is working on sitting up and has had great progress the past week.  He LOVES Sophie the giraffe, being outside and taking a tub at night!

michigan meeting of the cousins

We had an absolute blast meeting MR P aka Parker for the first time!  The weekend was too short, but we could NOT wait until august to meet Landon's older cousin.  It was so fun having the babies together and next time will be even better when Landon can interact a little more and hopefully the boys will get the memo to sleep through the nights :)  (the mamas would appreciate that....a lot!)

father's day our way

We celebrated Kyle's first father's day a week early!  At first, Landon and I thought that we should make Kyle a luxurious-over-the-top seafood meal... but after thinking about our (MY) lack of experience cooking anything from the ocean we decided to bring Kyle to a crab shack in RI for lunch instead! He enjoyed his favorite- fried clams and clam chowda'. Needless to say, it was a good decision, we had a great lunch and got in a couple photos as well :)  Next week, for the real father's day we will be in Michigan celebrating with Grandpa!

Ya don't say?

Yup! It's true. Landon has a new skill. He can officially roll over. First signs of mobility- it's almost a whole new ball game :). We are still loving every minute of it (between the hours of 6:30am and 9:00pm...haha)

it turns out...

that his one time of sleeping through the night, was in fact, a one time thing...bummer...but, things are getting better.  We got the HALO sleep-swaddler, so his arms are kept in tight and he can't mess with the paci, this has been helping make drastic improvements.  He is sleeping in the crib all night long, waking up once or twice a night... that's not bad considering the four or five before!  Just as we start to make progress another change happens: this time, its the HEAT!  We have had a heat wave through New England since Friday, it has been over 90 every day!  While I am glad for the summer feelings, we couldn't have Landon sleeping in his crib when it was 85 degrees in his room, plus, the sleep sack was how he was able to stay asleep and you can't swaddle in this kind of heat!  So, we put the AC in our bedroom and set up the pack 'n' play and he is back in our room...again.  At least it is cool, he can be swaddled and he is napping just fine and sleeping pretty good at night.  SO THANKFUL FOR AC units :)  We are beating the heat but did sneak outside to take some photos today, ENJOY!

stop growing up so fast, Landon.  he was putting one foot in front of the other across half the lawn like he already knows how to walk.  how can I make the time    s   l   o   w    down?
