8 months

wow.. time flies.
I probably say this for every monthly picture post, but it is so true... the time with Landon is flying by and we are loving every stage more than the last.  When Landon was born, I didn't want him to grow up, I wanted to be able to hold him as the tiny baby he was for months and months. However, seeing him grow into the little boy he is today has been so rewarding.  I love that he can interact, laugh, play with toys, sit up, and even throw little tantrums already.  Well, I guess I shouldn't say that I love the tantrums, but it is a reminder that he is developing his own opinion and he can start telling me (sometimes in a not so pleasant way) what he wants.  His eight month pictures turned out great... what a handsome smile this boy has, I couldn't refrain from putting just about every picture up!

Naughty puppy

So we started this blog as a way to keep family and friends up to date on our lives and house projects. After many house project posts, it became a dog blog. Duke was the center of our attention. Then we got another duplex and posted about that. More recently, as you all know, it has been a great way to document the life of Landon.
Well, with the last post being a house project I thought I would follow suit and post about our loving, kind, sweet natured... Duke.
Or as the post title might clue you in, the naughty puppy we have living in our house.
Dukes week thus far.... Monday, he was a good boy, just the usual barking and playing fetch in the house. Tuesday, he tried liking all the food off Landon's tray at dinner, only successful with a few puffs. Wednesday, he ate a diaper and a bib. Ugh, and today.... Oh duke, we started the morning with some "BM" issues (i think we all would have a little trouble of all the moisture in our digestive tract was absorbed, oh why did I eat that diaper!!) which ended in human assistance (aka me with a plastic bag pulling the poppy diaper from his rear...Eww). After those issues and oh so many more like it, you think he would learn but no... When I was meeting friends for coffee duke managed to get the ziplock bag of freshly baked muffins off the counter and ate ALL of them! He ate 9 muffins. Needless to say, he was been an oaf all day.  He laid down at the park after fetching the ball only twice. To top off the night, he insisted on having dinner, I can just imagine how much I will be "scooping" tomorrow.
Despite our puppy troubles, we still love him tons and his brother Landon is even a bigger fan! He laughs at duke all the time!
"My tummy hurts, can you rub it?" Too many muffins!

Two years in the making....

It's true. It has been almost two years since we decided to gut the upstairs bathroom. I am reluctant to say it was worth the wait (because I don't ever want a project to take this long again!!) it did turn out perfect! Kyle did such a good job with all the little details of wainscoting and the picture ledge as well as finishing off the cubby of storage underneath the attic stairs!  I absolutely LOVE it!

7 months

well, at this point it is more like 10 days shy of 8 months, but hey... better late than never!
Landon is growing up so fast, I just can't believe it!  He is becoming one busy MOVING boy.
