Oh Landon, you are our pride and joy.  The apple of our eye(s). The sunshine of our life.  Our little peanut.  We can't wait to see what the next year brings... including seeing you as a big brother!

can't.believe.it

Landon turns TWO on Monday.  I cannot even imagine this.  While it often seems like yesterday that he was born, at the same time, its hard to even remember what life was like before him. He brings us so much joy each day.

From the first two weeks, to one year Landon has been our pride and joy.

Lately, he loves playing with balls, coloring in a big packing box (thanks Amazon :), running anywhere and everywhere, throwing duke his toys, playing with his new tool set, driving the car with daddy (in the driveway only...don't worry!), and mommy always putting him to bed.

Oh wait, did I mention he talks ALL the time.   We have gone from  putting three words together in October, to have full blown conversations.  We never have to worry about getting our things misplaced or confused because he points out everything... all day long.  "Mommy's water, daddy's soda, Landon's juice... mommy's coat, daddy's coat, Landon's coat".

Some of my favorite things are...
... when reading books before bed, he goes over to his shelf, picks out a book, turns around and says "how about this one?"
...the minute daddy gets home Landon goes to the back door and asks him to take his "jacket off, shoes off daddy!"
...when he was playing with cars and trucks at Nanny and Papa's we would ask him to bring us 'one car or two trucks'.  About 20 min after starting this game, he was half way into the other room, turned around and says "I'll be right back!" with the cutest attitude and so matter-of-fact.  We all just burst out laughing!
...not sure if I am proud of this one... but he thinks its hilarious when he burps and farts... announcing it EVERY time :)  although he doesn't always get it correct... farting and saying "burped!"
...manners mean everything, at least that's what we are working on!  Landon's response to everything he doesn't want to do is a nice 'no tank you'... but even when he is mad its a very loud 'NOOOO tank you'.  Now if only he knew that saying no thank you didn't always get you what you want.... still working on yes please, the yes's in general are few and far between!
.... "wha are you??"  If he can't find something or someone, he says loudly exclaims "wha AAAARRRREEEE you???" for example... today, while he was refusing to nap in his crib, he repeatedly says "mommy, wha are you???"  mommy?  mommy?  mommy?
